  1. Past hour
  2. Confirmed. Only had .07 here with severe thunderstorm warning to my right in Marion and a tornado warning to my left in Buncombe. A few rumbles of thunder and a couple sprinkles
  3. Based on radar . And where low currently is and moving . HR cubed looks much better idea
  4. 71 / 68 caught around 0.23 evaded the flooding just north and west. Clouds dividing NJ in half, should see breaks of sun and mainly dry today but still isolated to scattered storms as the cut off low spins above. More of the same tomorrow before clearing out Friday. The weekend is questionable with the weakness / trough and wouldnt rule out a more cloudy Sat / sunday. Moderation next week and overall warm - growing hot/humid 8/4 and beyond.
  5. The area near Beacon up in Putnam County picked up 8.22” and 16.30” for July. https://dex.cocorahs.org/stations/NY-PT-2 Today: 8.22" Month-To-Date: 16.30"
  6. We had TOR warning but luckily didn't get one. Was intense for a few minutes. Absolutely poured as well. Power was only out for about 20 minutes. Now if only the dew point would go below 60 I can open the windows. PECO bill is absurd!!
  7. No idea what my total is but yesterday afternoon and last night between 11pm-1am it absolutely rained buckets. I’d guess 4-5”.
  8. INLAND CHATHAM- INCLUDING THE CITIES OF GARDEN CITY, POOLER, AND SAVANNAH 707 AM EDT WED JUL 29 2026 ...EXTREME HEAT WARNING IN EFFECT FROM 11 AM THIS MORNING TO 7 PM EDT THIS EVENING... CHANCE OF RAIN 20 PERCENT.—————————INCLUDING THE CITIES OF WILMINGTON ISLAND AND TYBEE ISLAND 707 AM EDT WED JUL 29 2026 ...EXTREME HEAT WARNING IN EFFECT FROM 11 AM THIS MORNING TO 7 PM EDT THIS EVENING... TODAY MOSTLY SUNNY. A CHANCE OF SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS THIS AFTERNOON. HIGHS IN THE UPPER 90S. HEAT INDEX VALUES UP TO 115. WEST WINDS 5 TO 10 MPH. CHANCE OF RAIN 30 PERCENT————The low so far today at KSAV is 82! Will they get convection and/or outflow from nearby convection to get below that by this evening? Not likely but possible. If not, the 82 would Tue a record high low.
  9. 9.08” of rain reported just SE of Albany. 5” in the last three hours.
  10. The peak has come and gone. Yes they would. People always complain. Suppression depression Cold/dry until it’s warm/wet
  11. Looking like another 48 hr + power outage from storms that weren't terrible. BGE is an absolute joke of a utility company.
  12. There are several large trees down near me including one completely blocking millbrook rd. Unfortunately last night did not come without loss of life, a tree fell on a house in wake county killing a man
  13. Nothing here yet today. It’s coming though. on the other hand, they are finally digging up and replaving my street. It has needed it for 15 years. Today’s rain will slow them down a little.
  14. Looks like eastern half of Nassau and most of Suffolk received 1” with pockets of 2” more than I was expecting
  15. Let em, they look like fools. Models had our rain coming in the overnight on runs over a day ago. 1.37” in Syosset.
  16. 3k NAM and HRRR placement of that low are radically different. Leading to very different results. HRRR would basically end the rain in CT by noon while Nammy would pour across most of the state (of course, everywhere but mby).
  17. Some 7-8” amounts on CoCoRAHS just south of Albany in the Hudson Valley. That’s decent water for 24-hr period.
  18. 2.21” total. 9.56” for July, Suffolk County. the Long Island posters have to stop calling bust and whining early in events. Please.
  19. Some of models have a mesolow move up directly over PVD this afternoon. If that happens gonna be some big totals for RI and much of S and E MA
  20. Just a routine 0.54" in NE Queens, most of which fell overnight. July rain total of 5.14" unless some of these showers today or tomorrow are realized. I have a friend in northern Hunterdon county in NJ who recorded 5.84" of rain for this event. They hit the jackpot.
  21. Great walk off win last night by the Twins to get back to .500. They better not trade prospects for a skunk like Volpe they need arms!!
