CheesyPoofs
yeah, hopefully the area of precip will slide to the south to help DCA/IAD out a bit, but I'd be real happy with what it shows for mby Yup. I know the NAM gave the NYC metro area .5"+ for several runs in a row for their event today while the GFS was less robust, and of course in later runs the NAM cut the QPF back by a lot and bowed to the GFS. Then again that was the NAM at day 3/4 , but in this case we are only 24 hours out...hopefully the GFS comes around.
mitchnick
Interesting.......could possibly get advisory criteria snow tomorrow. Should be a good teaser for next week's storm. it would be the best snow of the season that only showed up on the models for the first time on last night's 0Z maybe there's a lesson here for us folks (God, I hope not!) gymengineer
Northern NJ- NYC snowhole on this run. I think it's best to not try to pin down a "seasonal trend" based on only one month of winter.

I'd be pretty pumped if I were you. That said, I'm not holding my breath on having that stuff slide a little west/south.

Ellinwood
I think we could see some accumulating snow in DC... only about 1/4 to 1/2 inch though, with up to an inch in outlying areas. I still like my call We'll see what we can get tonight.
bluehens
Scored around 3" here in far northern DE from this passing storm and hoping maybe for another 3-4 tomorrow before what I hope is a nice dump on Tues/Wed.
WinterWxLuvr
I saw nothing last night. Not a flake. There were about 17 individual flakes on my truck bed cover this morning. Should we (us in the snow death zone known as Frederick Co.) count that as one of our snowfalls?

Ian
no reason to be that excited over this imo except that it has barely snowed.. these things underproduce 90% of the time even where they are more likely than this area
mattie g
A little snow tonight/tomorrow would be a really nice surprise. Kind of like something from last year when we seemed to pull snow out of thin air. So...when do we tempt fate and change the subheading of the thread? Not saying we should, but...
