You are correct 

Alot of my co workers only took a week or two because they didnt have alot of time. I didnt want my wife to do all the work. Also she had a rough pregnancy.  30 hours in labor and then emergency C section with her and the baby heart rate dropping . I still have to give her injections for low iron and low blood because of blood loss during pregnancy.

750 hours is more than 90 days.  I'm not allowed to carry more than 20 days of PTO before I lose it.

This country is so cooked when it comes to family leave. In Europe it's like months, all paid for both parents, I think some countries give the mother a year

I had to stay at home parent for two years because my wife earns more and my working part-time was cheaper than paying for child care.

Ma has pfml which pays a portion of your salary and I can use accrued PTO to top it off for a full paycheck. Obviously baby is 6 weeks early so going to take some time to sort that out

Yup that's very common now. Daycare is more expensive than many full time jobs. Count yourself lucky if you have family available to watch your kids.

For the first 5 years , I took alot of my overtime in time . Now I usually just take cash or split the overtime.

It should be months, not weeks.  Its not easy raising a baby with a full time job.

When we both return to work , my mom , her parents and her brothers all live in Brooklyn about 20 minutes away.  Thank god we have them near us because like you said , day care is expensive and I dont trust them.

Daycare is fine. You can easily find a place that works well

for you. It’s just expensive.
