Anyone saying definitively what next winter has in store is just dumb. So many were calling for a warm winter this year and it felt like we were living in the arctic for 3 months. We cant even get a forecast right 2 weeks out let alone 9 months...also great winters tend to come in consecutively. So my money would be on another A winter next year.

in all my years its been rare for great winters back to back....94? followed by a ratter. 96? 5 years of ratters.....2001? followed by a ratter....sometimes like 2006 or 16 you get a ku in an otherwise dismal year....2021...years of crumbs until now....

Whats this snow I keep hearing people say for this weekend....

Maybe this?

From NWS OKX AFD

.KEY MESSAGES...
1) Unseasonably mild / warm air will be in place through
Wednesday and most of Wednesday night. Areas of low clouds/fog
develop again during the evening and nighttime hours to the east
for coastal sections for tonight and potentially for a portion
of Wednesday evening.

2) A strong frontal system impacts the area Wednesday night
into Thursday with the next chance for rain, likely changing to
and ending as some wet snow later Thursday, followed by
noticeably cooler and more seasonable air at the end the week.

3) An Alberta Clipper will bring a small chance for light mixed
precipitation Friday into Friday night with breezy winds
lasting into Saturday.

4) A potent Colorado Low will bring chances for precipitation
Sunday through Monday night also with strong winds. Most of the
event will be plain rain, but some snow may mix in at the onset
and upon the system`s exit.

I think 2010 holds the record, and that was after a cold and snowy winter, like this one.

At EWR April  2002 had 3 straight days and the max at 97

would be a rude awakening for those that thought winter weather was over for this season.....has happened many times in the past after a March warm up - as late as April...

Euro has nothing.  Cmc also has nothing .

I do like that the PNA is rising along with the MJO moving along.

Maybe we have a chance

We have a chance like Jim Carrey...

In all serious though, i saw it, something to keep an eye on, seems like this winter wants to snow late month every month...

Snow can happen in March or April, but under the right conditions. We just don't have that right now. We have (1) a lack of cold air, (2) the ground is too warm, and (3) the sun angle is too high. We need temps in the 30s and 40s for a few weeks, and that probably isn't happening. Winter weather is just about over. Do not hold out hope for any snow.

It’s gone already on the 6z GFS. But given those antecedent conditions/boundary layer temps on the Equinox, you would need the off shore coastal low to absolutely bomb out quickly, with very strong UVVs (lift) and strong dynamic cooling to the surface to get any snow out of that
