Jumped east at hr 39 then came back at hr42 there's a chance this tucks even more
I want it as tucked as possible to LI because I genuinely want to experience my first ever blizzard (and I am pretty sure nobody here on the board can honestly blame me as far inland as I am)

You’re not getting blizzard conditions there.

Maybe I can mix down some stronger wind with sublimational assist.

Initial thoughts on what the gradient may look like in SNH and the coast based on past similar events?

Starting to resign myself to my fate :weenie:

There’s good fronto forcing on many models in CT for the first half of the storm, but it gets a little tougher in NW Mass…then if we get that eastern firehose going for a bit it starts becoming valley doom.

I'm with you on that, others may not be.

NAM has me singing a somewhat annoying (but today, appropriate) Fall Out Boy song:
Some legends are told, some turn to dust or to gold
But you will remember me
Remember me for centuries
SOME BLIZZARDS ARE SHOWN
THE EURO HAS BEEN DETHRONED
AS WE ARE ABOUT TO SEEEEEE
A BLIZZARD MADE FOR HISTORYYYYYY
EVERY TUCK WE WILL TAKE
FOR SEASONAL IS AT STAKE
AS WE ARE ABOUT TO SEEEEEE
A BLIZZARD MADE FOR HISTORYYYYYY

Hey-ya, ay-hey
Hey-ya...

A BLIZZARD MADE FOR HISTORYYYYYY

The season's sucked at the seams
Unable to phase the streams
Cold press too strong
MJO's been all wrong
Every threat has come a-part
The GFS sucked us all in
Now its about to score a win
This is for Glory, this is for old
For even the mighty Euro bowed and sold!

Doo-doo-doo-doo-doo-doo-doo
Doo-doo-doo-doo-doo-doo-doo

Some blizzards are shown
The Euro has been dethroned
As we are about to seeeeee
A blizzard made for historyyyyyy
Every tuck we will take
For seasonal is at stake
As we are about to seeeeee
A blizzard made for historyyyyyy

Hey-ya, ah-hey
Hey-ya...

A blizzard made for Historyyyyyy

We all now have a chance (chance)
To see (to see) Nature's truth (Nature's truth)
We all love this dance (dance)
For snow like from our roots (roots)

Doo-doo-doo-doo-doo-doo-doo
Doo-doo-doo-doo-doo-doo-doo
Doo-doo-doo-doo-doo-doo-doo
Doo-doo-doo-doo-doo-doo-doo

Some blizzards are shown
The Euro has been dethroned
As we are about to seeeeee
A blizzard made for historyyyyyy
Every tuck we will take
For seasonal is at stake
As we are about to seeeeee

Hey-ya, ah-hey (as we are about to seeeeee)

This is classic Walt Drag AFD fodder. He used to get excited about these systems and go into great detail about the dynamics.

I'd saved one of his all-time classics from the Eastern Wx days, but I can't find it (and can't recall the storm)

Walt Drag had a real passion for what he did! The write ups since that time for storms of this magnitude have been meh.
