My buddy in Montague is telling me 4-5". This wasn't a surprise at all

Totally agree.  Was clear from radar last evening into the overnight that western and NW Sussex and western Warren and Hunterdon were fringing with this.  RGEM did good on that but so did other meso models.  Made several posts about this last night.

Buddy in Pittstown, western Hunterdon had 6” as of 7am.

GFS for the epic win and IMO the RGEM for the epic fail.  Even more so than the EURO IMO.  I am just more shocked with the RGEM for a complete failure  especially 36-24 to 12 hours prior to the event.  Just horrendous.

The RGEM has at times been a bit too east with very deep coastals.  The UKMET used to have that bias but it seems gone the last several years.

Just epic. And still coming down hard. This is one of the greatest of all time here that I can remember in my lifetime, was born 2 years after 78. I’ve got 5’ drifts along my stockade fence. A little concerned this is going to take some effort to clear even with the snowblower!

It's double the height of the snowblower in spots. Waist deep around a lot of my house with drifts lol. Plus it's ripping hard >1/4 mi vis again right now. Incredible.

Sullivan county had a blizzard warning and ended up with 1-2" lol. In my neck of the woods the highest wind gust was 15mph. It was quite clear by 0z last night this was gonna be a non event up here. The usual suspects tho in eastern orange cleaned up w/ 12-15"

Other than the white rain at the start-no rain threat anywhere which is unusual-usually we have to worry about warm noses and track of the storm-no such threat this go around

Thanks for your input. You were a valuable contributor all week.

Really impressive winds with this storm, despite missing the worst of the banding here. Probably around a foot of snow (we'll maybe get another inch when that band over the city moves east with the storm later on.) Hard to measure exactly with the drifts.

A- Storm, and now a A+ winter

I wonder if that band is going to make it here or if this it. Stuck under subsidence.

I think it slides a few miles further west, we’re back in it now, getting close to 1” per hour rates again.
