"For the 2026 Winter Olympics in Milan-Cortina, the hockey rinks are not the same size as traditional, larger international rinks, but they are very similar to NHL rinks. The 2026 Olympic rinks measure 196.85×85.3feet (60×26 meters), which is slightly shorter and wider than the standard 200×85 foot NHL surface." Yeah the offensive and defensive zones are the same as NHL but it’s a shorter neutral zone in this rink

Mrs.J
Good day all. I went back in the different thread pages as I am looking for the gardening thread but did not find it. I have in the past done my gardening by purchasing the plants and then growing from there. I have done some from seed such as Basil but never anything else. I was able to get some Hungarian Red Peppers last summer and decided to keep some of the seeds. I am looking for some advice on when to start the seeds indoors. I have found some directions that say the seeds should be started 8-12 weeks before the average last spring frost date. Where would I find the average date for our area or does anyone know that? I am thinking that I need to start these seeds soon and need to get the proper materials. And if anyone has any good advice they would like to pass along it would be appreciated. Thanks

I can promise you no snowstorm is coming next weekend for the MA. It’s not happening. . But it will be interesting to see how long the charade keeps up to get people sucked in before the models inevitably all shit the bed. I think if they cave tomorrow the meltdowns won’t be too bad. But if the cave comes Thursday or Friday this place will need to issue suicide watches. how we doing?

And all the rest of the post are actually the garbage. How correct are they now? Because I've discussed at length the decades of what people have said here, and their conclusion is you are bullies and I need to defend myself even if I've felt 60% of the insults were in good fun. Since disrespect slowly erodes self esteem even when its a "joke". I guess my therapist is wrong too, right! LOL Is your therapist as good at calling the outcome of storms as you are? Get a fucking refund.

After a few drinks several of admitted we weighted elevation strongly in our decision to purchase where we all did. The look on my wife's face was priceless. I must admit that's part of the reason why I pushed my wife moved from West Spfld to NW of Vienna 20 years ago. It's not THAT far, but sometimes is JUST far enough to make a difference. My wife doesn't understand it. Nor does she understand the collective curse of our beloved hobby (or in your case, profession). haha.

Thanks Plant Maps has the average last frost date for your area between April 21-30. I never feel safe putting peppers in the ground before May 15. RDM
Talk about a waste of our taxes... Was out for a Jebwalk earlier and four big snowplows come by... to plow 2-1/2" of slop. Amazing - four large double axle dump trucks doing the job of what one truck could easily do. Plus, because Lawyers road is technically a state route, which means VDOT is responsible. So, the four plow trucks were trailed by a supervisor in a SUV. Five vehicles, five drivers, at who knows how much per hour per driver and vehicle - to plow 2-1/2". I started several varieties of peppers at the beginning of this month. Like you, I'm thinking of keeping at least some of them in pots. Also started tomatoes, and some flowers from seed. Have herbs, lettuces and onions ready to go in the ground in a few weeks. Peas right behind those. Hope we get some rain this year for a change, and not all at once.
