Storm or not, next week is starting to look like a legitimate thaw.

The legit cold is gone for now. This storm is a thread the needle deal. We might get some decent cold back for the last week of the month. Latest trends on the ensembles aren't the best, but still time.

Use prunes liberally.

Magnesium supplements usually do the trick. I was taking it for muscle recovery and sleep. But then I found out it had a side effect lol, at least for me. Dose dependent. I backed it off and now ok.

I’m actually at the point I want a thaw to just get rid of the snowcrete. Then it can try for one last hurrah for the season. Either way, this winter is one to remember with the snowcrete storm followed by a crazy sustained cold period.

This is why it’s not science. It’s example giving guesswork with so many outcomes that one  will surely hit and funding for status quo can continue.  Now the chest puffers who never otherwise pist here will be whistled in soon but models are not weather forecasting tools.  They mostly exist to perpetuate themselves.  It’s fine that many many more than me enjoy that  modality  just as it’s fine that I think it’s bogus .  And I’ve offered solid alternatives in the past, not just observation .

Lol, you'll piss off a lot of people calling it not science but I like it. What we do with modeling is built around science, it's based on pure scientific principle, but it takes human spark and ingenuity to really get to the top level. Parameters need to be tuned, ensembles need to be interpreted in a way that makes sense to the public. It's an art and a craft really, and that's cooler than a bunch of gears
