In annapolis 90% sleet and 10% snow it is really crazy looks like deep winter.  This is going to take some time to clean up I imagine schools will be closed all week my neighbor is shoveling and it looks like a foot but I know it is not but wow one car has snow/sleet from the ground to the hood and it is windy at times

Just now, Wxtrix said:

heavy sleet and snow, visibility down to 1/4 mile again. another 1-2 inches maybe since earlier this morning. it’s 80/20 snow/sleet.

That's awesome to hear. Hoping I can get back into that. Been pure sleet here for the last couple of hours

The landscaping company our townhouse development hired to clear stuff out got their first truck stuck so the second hasn't been able to come in behind it.  They're slowly making progress, poor guys.

I don't think our street has been touched, and it almost doesn't look like Old Keene Mill Road (reasonably busy road during normal hours) has been plowed either.  Either that or it snowed right back over in the early morning.

As I think someone previously mentioned, if you are seeing snow. That snow was formed below the melting layer (~8,000ft-ish). So sleet that you see formed above that, and flakes formed below. For you VA folks, if you stop seeing the tiny flakes, good chance you're gonna go to FZRA within a few hours.

Yeah I was wondering if that was why I still see pixie dust floating down alongside the straighter falling sleet, cool!
