I'll echo Jerry's and other's sentiments... there's a palpable "night before" electricity we haven't felt for years. And having confidence only accelerate into the event is pretty amazing.

Did grocery shopping tonight... the empty store shelves are honestly kind of silly, but maybe people are anticipating supply chain disruptions down south?

In any case, loading groceries to the car and feeling the unabashed piercing cold on the eve of a huge snowstorm... New England winter is back. Our hobby, with all its rewards, is back.

I know Sunday afternoon I'll be bouncing back and forth like a kid who never outgrew the thrill, relishing in the 2 hobbies.

For those of us who have been yearning for something good in either realm for the past 4 years... finally, it's here.

Which store?  I’m considering a last minute Wegmans run as they’re open to midnight.  No kids to feed so we’ll make it either way…planning on a walk after enough of the NAM is in.  Hrrr looks fabulous!

We went to the Wegman's here in town on Thursday and people had already cleaned the shelves.  There was very little bottled water left, and the milk we buy, we got the last few containers.  That's what happens when the news media starts headlining this so many days ahead.

Gotta respect the NAM in a setup like this...it usually handles the warm punch between 850 and 700 well

Yeah it's still close. 700 temps still hovering at/below 32°. 850 still well below. wonder if the warmest layer is 800
