As somebody that grew up on the beach in Wading River, if there is one thing I hate, it is the East End in winter. Desolate, windy, snowless. It is truly awful in every way

Solid light snow now in Staten Island and starting to accumulate again on colder surfaces. 

Would love to see radar echos intensify and expand on the northern side, it has a bit of a hard time doing so at the moment and just keeps pulsating.

I think you are correct.  The echos where I am in eastern PA are steady very light snow.
