SLK has gotten to -24. The village has gotten to -14°. Coldest high at WXW2 has been 9.2°. Some of those haven’t been rad cooling either. We’ve had some -20 to -30 WC nights. It’s been pretty cold against December averages, but we haven’t had those big nuclear cold outbreaks. If we get similar cold during peak climo we’ll put up really impressive numbers. Was -15 with a strong NW wind. Cabin was shaking. Wood stove finally warmed up when wind died down. Woke up to -27. Dead calm. That’s the coldest I’ve seen since I bought the place in 2022. It’s off grid so I do not maintain a weather station there yet, but my location up there lines up pretty well with spotter in Newcomb.
