Well, 2 weather outlets already have snow maps up. One takes the 3"-6" from the Connecticut River West, to the East of the river 2"-4"/1"-3".

Another has the Southwest 1/3rd in the 3"-6", the middle chunk of the state 2"-4", and the northeastern corner 1"-3". They must feel more confident with the Euro and also the fact the models have bumped NE somewhat.

That'd be great... but pretty bold at this point. And can someone pin this?

I love how some say we need a big move TODAY:lol:.   No, you don’t need it today, because the storm isn’t until Friday night/Saturday.  And all you need is incremental movements today…being your 2-3 days out.

And the modeling has been so dam horrendous of late…I wouldn’t sleep on this out east. Wouldn’t take a whole lot to get everyone in the game. So no, you don’t need a big move today at all. You just need some incremental movement in the positive direction. We watch.

I like what Ryan said yesterday in that we would probably see a more consolidated band of heaver snow than what is shown. Aloft this kind of looks like crap. Have to fire up bufkit but some of the forecast soundings on the northern side of that precip shield look like crap...even within Fairfield County which I was thinking could have some potential for several inches. But still too much uncertainty to really have any concrete thoughts and that blocking we can't discount. Hopefully we'll get a bit more clarity with the 12z suite.

Euro is slowly improving. Lets keep that up, and get some others onboard. We really don't need anything dramatic, just increments. I'll admit, I really thought this was toast, but it's certainly still there

Definitely an improvement from yesterday, but I have to have pause. Modeling can’t get a grip on the blocking so buyer beware

Modeling can’t seem to get a grip on anything…and now the big blocking just seems to really be exacerbating it…so for sure, we are weary.

Hopefully we are in a pretty good spot for this

As of the moment…we may be.  Wouldn’t take much to pull us out of the game too as we know.  Would love to get it to creep a bit more in the positive direction, so more of us can get in on the fun. Plenty of time for movement-in either direction.
