Temp is up to 34 here, was in the mid 20s like I said for nothing. No one should be surprised temps are jumping with the SE wind switch and cause us to be rain near the city-coast. The high is leaving and causing the winds to switch to SE.

Yup, got down to 24 where I am, now up to 30.

According to NWS data, the 8 am temperature in the Bronx was 36°. Even as there remains a chance that some snow/sleet could be seen at the onset of the precipitation, no accumulation is likely. As per mPING, the precipitation arrived as light rain in Union, NJ. We'll see whether it briefly flips to sleet/snow upon growing heavier. If not, that's not a good sign for the NYC area.

Expecting a fairly quick transition here as well.  Areas to my south in SE PA have already gone to sleet/rain.

Riding the line out in Chester it seems. Flipping to snow with heavier rates, then back to sleet. I cannot believe they closed the schools for this.

Mesos have been ticking slightly colder in NNJ and SENY, but the HRRR and 3KM NAM ptype graphics both look too "cold" in EPA. More mix (IP/ZR) than modeled seems to be being reported further north. It might mix out to snow at times, but the mix line looks fairly far north on radar (matching obs).

Currently light snow in Putnam County NY where I am at the moment. Snow took a while to get going.

As per mPING, the precipitation has started as rain in New York City and southern Westchester County. North of White Plains, there was a rain/snow mixture.
