I think multiple things can be true.

Yes, people might be ready for fall, but I highly doubt they were complaining about having a bunch of warm and sunny days in the mean time. 

EDIT: Now if it were truly hot/humid weather, then maybe a different story.

Upper teens n 20's for lows this morning. A crisp AM across my area, n others. Radiational cooling really blew the forecast. Much cooler than cast. Another cold one tomorrow AM with freeze warnings out again. Frost/Freeze adv will probably be done after this as growing season is over here now.

A TOTAL OF 2.45 INCHES OF RAINFALL WAS RECORDED.

THIS BREAKS THE OLD RECORD FOR OCT 7 OF 1.72 INCHES...SET IN 1931.

Quite a different picture for our friend in Dayton, where a daily record rainfall of nearly 2 1/2" of rain converted a small annual deficit into a surplus of nearly 2 inches. This was also the 67th most precipitation for any day on record - dating back to the 19th century!

It may always be sunny in Philadelphia, but it's always cloudy in Dayton.

The one in my Corolla has been stuck on for over a year. I check the tires with a pressure gauge periodically and they are always close to spec, if one is low I pump it up but the light never turns off.

Yeah no complaints about the forecast for the next week. Consistent upper 60s and sunny, the perfect October combo. Much better than the June in October weather of last week. And with a hint of a more active storm pattern incoming for the second half of the month for those who are going to go "but it's so boring!"

Turned my heat on this morning. Woke up to the house at 57F. Low at DTW was 39 or 40 (need to confirm) and the cold spot Ann Arbor at 29F. Light frost over most of the area.

Completely off topic but you might want to look into replacing the TPMS sensor(s).

Camping with the family east of Hinckley MN along the St. Croix river this weekend. Colors are peaking now and it’s been in the mid 20s for lows there the past two nights so the bugs should be done too.

Colors here in town lag behind inland. Running 50%, but cooler, drier wx should speed things up. Warmer wx slowed everything down. I've noticed a lot less geese over town this year so far. Could be a mad rush on the way tho. Or the fires up north caused some realignments of flocks as the they were more located in the central areas of CAN this year.

Three nights in a row this week right before sundown I saw 70+ geese flying overhead here.  I think the second night was the largest with approximately 100 or so in the group.
