If you’re 100ft higher you’d be a hair warmer in theory. But it really comes down to whether or not your location is in the lowest spot locally so the cold can drain and pool. If you have a Christmas tree farm it shaves another 5°F off.

Yup yet another benefit of growing fir trees... haha

I've already had the wood stove going 5 times this month including tonight.   Basically 5-8 hour burns to keep the furnace use minimal and the house comfy at night.

I may have misspoken. Keene is about 200 feet higher than I am. It is a few degrees colder in the valley here than at my local NWS station, KEEN. No worries, I will have my new outdoor thermometer set up at my new apartment next month. Moving stuff out of here now, not worth it at this time.

As for the Christmas tree farm, that's a good point, ha! I'll be sure to get a reading when the time comes, and report back.

Here, 28/28, but will drop a few degrees by dawn (4am NWS local station). It's almost 5am now. We have had about the same temp every day for the past four or so mornings. 

Over one inch of rain coming! Ready for some weather ovah heah.
