But more snow than last year. That would be a respectable Nina winter if so. Outside the 95-96 fluke, high teens snowfall totals for most of the area is a “good” Nina. Honestly I’d take a repeat of last winter. January was a really good month and we had the late February heartbreak that could have made it an excellent year if it went the other way. 2

We seem to do relatively well in the lowlands during Nina's. The past two winters were respectable IMBY. Especially last winter.

Although much of the rest of the winter is pretty meh. Based on ENSO and other factors, I think one of the “good” Ninas is probably the ceiling for this year. But a dead ratter is also well within the realm of the possible.

The initial January rug pull and the Feb heart breaker kept.us from greatness. If both we like 5"-9" storms then we wouldve been golden.
Chris78
I've averaged just under 13" the last 3 seasons. It's been several years since I've passed the 20" mark for a season.. Considering my average is almost 30" a season, here's to hoping for a better winter for the NW zones.

I know this is true but it’s just so astounding. Feel like I’ve seen a half dozen between living in DC/Cville… and that’s not counting the events I missed being out of the country. 2016 redux is promised this year though so we’ll all be fine.

Bacon Ridge in Crownsville at 190' elevation has done better than Parrs Ridge at almost 900' elevation for the past 5 seasons. Pretty wild. I've experienced blowing snow and snow deep enough for snowshoes on Bacon Ridge the past two seasons.
