Can’t wait for summer to return starting Monday Looks more like a quasi, CC-mutilated winter (now..), moves to a quasi, CC-mutilated spring next this week. Then we'll see if the deeper summer look in the 10+ Euro has any legs. But, I've seen that heat look in the D12 range now on some seven different model cycles, Euro and GFS, since a week ago yesterday in the guidance, and it's yet to actually move closer in... I'm starting to wonder if this is going to be one of those summers where we're always chasing a heat wave in the outer guidance, and finally catch up to it september 9 through the 17th type bs

Same here, but I guess we needed to keep the weekend rain streak alive. I think this is now 10 in a row here, with at least some precipitation on one of the days. At the bottom, part of our neighbors drive away is washed away and there is a pile of asphalt and rocks where it once existed. Along that same driveway, part of the side of the lawn has been literally carved away from the runoff. We’re fortunate enough to live in high part of town but others are clearly not as lucky. It’s just amazing what fast, running water can do to solid objects including mounds of pollen, which have just about all been disposed of! Can’t believe it’s still raining out, 5” and counting.. Years ago, I read that water's erosive power was a 5th-order function, meaning that for a given volume, doubling the velocity increases erosive power by a factor of 32. It was also memorable in NNJ - March had 30"+ snowfall, a max of 10 on 3/17 and low of -3 the next day. April 24 had 1.5" as a coastal storm was finishing then 3" overnight on the 27th, the 2 latest dates I recorded measurable snow. May 25 rain was modest, but wind toppled several newly leaved oaks.
