We are tracking rain like it is snow. Not like the normal rain/storm tracking... but like it is a snow storm. Perhaps I am losing my mind. We always did this... in the twilight zone.

Radar depiction of this first band is WAY more impressive than ground truth. Maybe some bright banding aloft?

Heavier than I expected it to be when looking at radar

My "I am not disappointed" bar is 1.10" plus.

6z euro says we don’t get there. Icon from earlier this week is going to be “wrong”, but guidance partially moved toward it for sure.

12Z HRRR shifted heavier rain westward compared to 6Z.

We're a rain town now...there might be no escaping it.  Was raining in Frederick this morning and dried up as I got closer to Columbia.

12z NAM appears to be less than 1.5" for everyone N&W of I-95.

18z NAMs and HRRR look fine.  Most of us over an inch, and up to 2"+ in lucky spots.  The difference is that the HRRR centers the precip in the center and east of the DC/Balt region, while the NAMs favor spots W of 95.

WB 18Z GFS and Euro.   Big differences at this range. AI more in line with GFS.

Go Euro. My son has a baseball tournament this weekend up by Hershey. Hoping the Euro has the right idea.

Looks like a soaking rain incoming, but doesn't really seem like a nor'easter.  Whatever low develops scoots ots instead of hugging the coast.

If this was winter people would be freaking out lol.

The difference between 2 to 4 and 12 to 18.
