I'll gladly take an inch or two. Always the chance this could beef up some as it gets closer too. Who knows, maybe the UKMET will be right with the higher amounts but right now 1 to 2 looks like a good early call.

this is probably not the final solutions - since various METS warned to wait till the previous storm passes the EURO trending now toward the coast

Inside 90 the Euro never makes large moves but it can just incrementally keep moving one direction...to me the most glaring thing is the RGEM/NAM agreeing somewhat past 60...that is not something we see too often, when you see that you have to be concerned the higher res models might be onto something.

Looks to be locking in on a 1-3" event.  Inland will see the most as ratio's will help a bit.  Doubt immediate coast NJ / NYC on east see more than an inch.  Could be a crap shoot if NYC gets to the elusive inch....we'll see how things evolve.

Difference with this system is that temps should be well below freezing which will make it much easier to get that inch in the city

As long as the low doesn't end up close to coast where an onshore flow develops

We’re a month away from pitchers and catchers. Pattern breaks down after the 20th storm. Good riddens.

Yup. Hopefully more warmth for February. I’m about done with this awful winter if the 20th storm misses

it will be sooo much more fun if NYC gets to 0.9 and stops right there.
