Just got this alert on my phone. Severe flooding on the BQE. Incredible rainfall rates. Haven’t seen this since Ida.

4 feet on the BQE? Yikes. The rain fall rates right now must be incredible.
I don't think we will break the all time record for rain for the month of September with this system, plus the 8"+ we had before it. But we probably will hit the 2nd most for the month.

That's why im asking.  I keep hearing about tonight and into tomorrow yet radar looks like it would end by lunch time.

HRRR shows the lull quite well but has heavy rain redeveloping over the area this afternoon. Give the city a few more inches of rain. We'll see if it actually happens.

Very rough AM commute.

Awful. Very grateful for this forum. I’m not on social media, though I know there were some people issuing warnings there. Fact is the mainstream was not forceful enough on this in my opinion, plenty of people may have opted not to drive if alarm bells had been sounded.
