I’m also comparing it to October 2021 when it was like 75-80kts on my head

That’s going to be hard to top any year. Would probably need a further west track and more ET transition to maintain some semblance of a core?

Cape would be in for a lashing though.

Yep. So in my mind I’m like meh lol. If it’s gonna be windy and rain and nothing special I’ll pass. Better be damaging to ruin a weekend lol.

If we miss Lee the one behind gets back to 75 west. So pick your poison, .. weaker Lee or stronger 38 type storm / track.. one is coming for YBY

You’re going for a 38 style storm 10 days out?

Why not?

Love the roller coaster post on Lee.

Roller coaster is a great way to put it. You literally know how the ride will go before hopping on, and despite how much it makes you want to scream or puke you can't get off until you run out of track.

Weenie posts! Meh posts! Fear! Excitement! Morality debate!

Dopamine drips or saline solution at every turn!

30-40mph winds with gusts to 55 or 60 is possible (here)..and wouldn't be surprised if it tickles east more. but this would be like any run of the mill nor'easter in these parts. I'm ok with it because I'm bringing home a newborn, and no need to lose power for any extended period

Nice! Congrats man.

Disappointment galore, even if Lee somehow tracks W of the envelop now unfolding. Will it be considered a LF'ing hurricane?
Little semblance of what is once was, more like a mid-lat strong cyclone. Moving to slow to keep a compact inner core, weakening, expansive wind field.
Probably the greatest threat will be from scattered flooding from 5 days of rainfall. Surf and swells with coastal erosion.
