Amazing skies today!

Very cool. Driving I could see the virga and there were lots of convective showers around, but not a drop here. A really nice early Spring day and perfect to get outside stuff done with no sweat and no bugs.

Did you jump ship? We need 70s and sun, not this mess lol

I’m fully rooting for a SE ridge but I’m embracing the snow while I’m out here.  When I’m back in Alexandria tomorrow, I’ll be checking the models for AN temps haha.

Filling up on gas before hitting the road. View of Wisp from the Exxon. Guessing about 8” or so but hard to tell with wind.

The 5-10” predicted by LWX has verified.  As I missed MLK, pretty sure this is actually my best event to date for my first winter up here.  Go figure.  Beautiful this morning

Great event, glad you were up this weekend to enjoy it.

what I didn’t enjoy was that drive on 68 this morning - basically white out conditions until we got out of the county. Light snow in frostburg and sun was out in Cumberland. Such an interesting climate out there!

I ran into a great squall I believe was Savage Mountain on the drive back . Frostburg had a couple inches and 1-2  miles east it  was rolling (green) hills

When I left McHenry it was 22 with moderate snow and blowing snow . Depth ranged from 5-8"+

I just noticed the WSW is now through 5p today. Another 2-5”
