October 2020 Discussion

Recommended Posts

Short term, I wonder if we can start as a very brief period of snow on Monday morning.  I’ve seen it on a few models here and there over the past couple days.

Soundings look pretty isothermal and it hits at a favorable part of the day around sunrise to 12z from here and points NE into N.NH/W.ME.

Something's gotta give. You have the GFS/GEM camp which is super amped and the EURO which is suppression city.

Euro bumped north

I do need to consider getting my birds winterized though. The next step down comes this week.

Give em some Prestone 50/50 pre mix...that’ll keep em from freezing up.

Lol, sorry Dendy I couldn’t resist the whole winterize thing.  No offense implied.

A legit air mass...

1pm and 41/23 with a breeze in the valley.  26F at the picnic tables.  Definitely feels like a snow column outside if any rouge shower were to move through.

Euro is pretty far west. That will also effect the outcome of anything late week. Still highly questionable as to what happens.

I know everyone is probably thinking about the snow but I find the tropical remnants piece interesting. That looks fairly robust for someone depending on the track and eventual intensity of Zeta. Any frozen would be gravy for this tropical weenie.
