I’m in Valley Stream.  Winds have to be 70-80mph

If you happen to have any damage of note, could you do me a favor and report it here? I work with the red cross in their Emergency Management sector and this field report would be much appreciated.

Winds picked up a good amount here(although intermittent)  in central/south Nassau, some thunder and lightning and pretty solid rainfall coming down now.

winds gusting harder now, rainfall getting more intense as well and lightning becoming a bit more prominent. Yet to see any hail or the 60mph+ gusts the NWS advised to look out for though.

Few downpours and lots of lightning, literally no wind...

Was going to say the same thing.  I’m in Lindenhurst and it’s a very still storm.  Tons of lightning but minimal thunder too.

Strong storm here in central Queens. Downpours, decent wind (30-40mph), frequent lightning. Did not compare at all to the epic microburst we had on Tuesday where there was very little lightning but an absolute deluge with what I'd estimate 65+ mph gusts.

Take it back.  Just had the loudest clap of thunder this summer!
