February Discobs 2020

Since 2-1 rainfall 3.54 inches, snowfall 0.2 inches

Since 1-1 rainfall 6.98 inches, snowfall 3.2 inches.

About twice the rainfall above average, under a third of average snowfall. Sad.

Saw a fly on one of the security cameras.
The grass is getting green in spots.
Spring onion bundles everywhere.

Without any serious arctic freeze in sight, I can imagine how bad of a bug season this is going to be!
Disgusting!

Another nasty muddy spring morning. This winter will be one we talk about for year to come. All other fails will be compared to the warm turd of 2019-20.

Our roses are leafing out, they are about the size of quarters.  The lack of cold night is going to ruin them when we get a rogue cold snap in March.

Peach trees will be in trouble again this year as well.

Between the late spring freezes and incessant summer rains, Maryland has come close to qualifying for a Federal disaster for crop loss several times since 2016.

Got to Deep Creek a bit after 9p.  Currently 28 with light snow (about 0.25” of new snow).

Hit flurries near Hancock and light snow from Cumberland on.  Accumulation not until we crossed into Garrett County.

Frigid morning low only 10F above normal. Stay warm friends.

Places like Saranac lake, NY and Maine should hit -20s tonight.  Don't worry your mud will freeze solid tonight

Low of 13° with about 3" of fluffy snow in Snowshoe.  They needed it and making snow since 9 pm last night.  Terrible winter everywhere.
