Yeah the lowest 50 mb wet bulb temps showed some serious potential. I think the high holding tough today helped too. It at least maintained the colder air mass vs. scouring it out. wxeyeNH
I'm sitting here in the dark but enough moon light to see the tree line faintly and railing. Must be over 8" now. Snow is so heavy that it must compress the layers. This is when clearing a snowboard after 6 hours would probably yield a higher total.

When Brian posted that goes16 earlier, I knew then we had some potential, Dews were only 33°F at that time so just -1/2F off of that would be a game changer. rimetree
Congrats to those building their base tonight. Mine is pretty much gone. Most likely too warm for any frozen here but even along the coast we're seeing temps tick down ever so slightly in the past hour or so. 37F

Not sure why you are belaboring that point. We're talking those runs from around 54-72 hours in case you were forgetting. That doesn't mean it wasn't going to snow in the interior. It was a bigger deal for areas around CON and SE. Euro had a pretty well developed ML center out over the water. That's not going to happen. We also knew the GFS is really bad at holding the boundary layer CAD...so nobody should take its ptype verbatim either.
