despite rock em sock em radar returns new Bedford is still struggling to switch over to all snow.  although surfaces are beginning to become covered.  PVD has gone over to all snow, moderate, accumulating on all surfaces. James has to call his bro at the Naval station Newport. Still white rain there.

Woke up and no snow on the roads in Cambridge. I am guessing everyone's accumulations maps were way off or this thing slowed the heck down overnight?

My buddy just got called to plow. He does Colony Place Plaza at RT3 and RT44. I just put my car in the garage. Wind is whipping, coating of cement on non pavement surfaces. 35/33

anxious to see southcoastma's observation from 5 miles north of new Bedford.  downtown new Bedford along 195 is struggling to accumulate with continued white rain and high visibilities.

I think we can easily knock 3-4" off accumulations in SE Mass/Cape. Even here in Metrowest the roads are still wet. Looking at 5 am obs pretty much everyone is reporting snow, even ACK, but many temps are still above freezing making it tough to accumulate

there are some serious boundary layer problems occurring in southern areas that so far is hammering accumulations. All one has to do is scope out the local tv station live feeds, plus other web and tower cams and see the higher visibilities in these areas.  new Bedford continues to struggle with white rain meanwhile PVD has been getting solid, and bonafide moderate snow the past 45 minutes. I'm sure BOX is sweating after forecasting 19-20 inches in new Bedford and Hyannis.  They haven't issued their new forecast at this late hour and I'm sure they're deliberating.

Good morning.

Middle of the street was still wet here in Newtonville, but coatings were creeping in along the edges. Everything else has a pretty good coating already.

34.3*

Looking good here. Everything covered including roads. Nice band about to move in

Yeah this was expected, at least by me anyways.

Still thinking 12-18 here locally near my hood. Not buying those high uber amounts yet.

Pounding now 1" down

Yeah, moderate bordering on heavy now.  Caking everything.  Looks like it started just after midnight as rain for about an hour.  Ramping up now though.  We should see 1-2"+ rates developing now.
