  1. were the cape power losses more a result of snow, or wind? I saw that Nantucket officially gusted to 70. I'm always skeptical of those ham radio wind gusts.
  2. just like the Connecticut shoreline with Irene and sandy.
  3. Nice map. Easier to follow than what box puts out. Just revise the south coast of RI, 6-12 instead of 12-20. And 6-12 for all of Newport county.
  4. he was freakin here earlier and I don't blame him.
  5. Diane, you said your porch had 2 inches. Is that your total?
  6. maybe an additional quarter inch for you, half inch for jimmy, and 2 inches for downtown boston.
  7. weenie so big not even stormy daniels could take it.
  8. Thanks for the ob report on your power loss and snow total. I don't see Harwich getting any more than an additional inch. The southern end of the death band has been rapidly drying up.
  9. if you live a mile or less from the ocean in extreme SE CT, along the south coast of RI and MA please report your totals. I'm pretty surprised to hear about totals in south Dartmouth and new Bedford of 10-13 inches and I'm wondering if these totals are actually a couple miles inland with lesser totals along south facing beaches. For example westerly extends several miles inland and I'm wondering what the totals are a mile from the ocean.
  10. If it's any consolation Cory the heaviest of that death band has been about ten miles to your west, and when the meat of it reaches your hill it won't be as intense. But nevertheless you certainly missed a biggie.
  11. Next time you need to find a way to get Cory home. He's flown home in the past for some duds and paid a lot of money to do so. But he let this one get away.
  12. I'm questioning the validity of the report from TJ delsanto from east providence. I suspect they have more. I'm not sure if he personally measured outside the tv station or if a flunkie did in their weather yard. They're located in an industrial park on the Seekonk line and that area appeared to be close to that heavy band this morning that was hammering Dighton.
  13. I can't figure out why wpri 12-15 miles to your north on the Seekonk/east pvd state line is only reporting 5-6.
  14. I''ll buy an iPhone for 50 bucks on canal street thinking its gonna work before I'll believe those vendor maps again.
  15. Cory, I wish you had flown home for this. 15 inches of man snow in your back yard is a lot more impressive than a 20 inch January fluff job.
  16. did you email your total to wpri channel 12 providence? They were complaining that a snarky weather watcher from west Greenwich emailed them with a snow report.
  17. Disagree. Lots of models had all of eastern rhode island getting hammered. East PVD at the top of the bay only has 5-6 inches and Narragansett 10 miles to your south really got porked.
  18. epic screw zone for you and the southern half of Newport. Block island is reporting 7.5 inches and telephone poles down.
  19. Jimmy may get a few inches on the back side of his fanny but I don't think he's gonna crack double digits.
  20. Jay Leno's new pad probably has half of what you have 2 miles away.
  21. How much do you have? I was getting hammered and LOLed for declaring this a bust this am in southern coastal areas.
  22. ryan hanrahan forecast 6-9 for the south coast of rhode island. He absolutely smoked the Nws. They were forecasting 16 for you.
