just went outside , very blustery with plenty of  snow blowing around already , 1/2 inch down everything covered and you can almost hear the crackle of everything freezing up if that makes sense..... amazing that i could feel like summer 60 degrees with that nice warm breeze when i filled up the car just 8 hours ago.

 

looking at the radar, and the latest model runs, appears as though the SREF lock for 8 inches is looking spot on....  and i could see how double digits is a real possibility

Impressive rain event all of Narragansett bay into the southern halves of Bristol and Plymouth counties. Sad! Lots of flooded basements tomorrow am.

In 9hrs ART went from 60F to pounding +SN and 13F.

Yeah the radar looks amazing there right now. Heading up there Sunday now instead of tomorrow. Not risking the drive. Still super warm here in southern Vermont

Below freezing here and whatever precipitation is falling seems frozen, though the wind makes it hard to tell.

Wild night b/t the wind and rain. Very deep pack has been obliterated. Hoping cellar don't flood during the night.  Draining well for now.

I think the flooding has been mostly minor......basement here is holding up.....just gotta make it through a few more hours.....should be ok

Not hearing of any reports of significant flooding so far but 4 inch rain totals look possible between providence and fall river. I expect lots of basements will be turned into literal Shi!holes this am with a lot of people waking up wishing they were at Mar a lago.

Likely THE worst flooding on Diamond Hill I've ever seen.  Just drove in from Boston.  Fog wasn't bad but the rain has taken out the Snow.  A Rocky Marciano KO in 1 Round.

There may be a Rhode island snow hole during big snowstorms but Rhode island is in the bullseye for this rain event. I'm expecting flooding headlines at daybreak and I suspect some folks will be caught off guard.

radar finally picked up about 30 -45mins ago, decided to look out the window and indeed the flakes are coming down fat and juicy now, stacking nicely and i am seeing minor drifts developing now between parked cars.... approx 1.5 inches eyeball method but should add up nicely now looking at the radar

Front seems to be pushing into the western portion of the CTRV now.  Far NW CT is now below freezing.  Only the tallest of snow banks/ piles survived here. Temp hovered near 59 all night.

Crazy how BTV was 60s yesterday and now its 16F with +SN.

TAN ASOS reporting ~2.70" thus far.  Snow is completely gone, minus a small patch at street where I snowblowed.

Yeah, between the snow pack melt and rains there was 4-6" of water added to the rivers/streams.  Taunton River was iced over as well.

Wow, I've only gusted to 15mph.  I can hear it up high though.
