Started as a straight sleet fest here about 10 minutes ago.  My elevation is only a few hundred feet but I'm only 14mi to VT border if that helps.

Yeah thanks. I'm surprised you're getting scalped and ORH is all snow.

Have to give big kudos to Ryan and NBC 30 in CT. Only station that saw, called and forecast this heavy sleet accumulation. They had a map out yesterday. We tip the cap.http://

Ha - thanks Kevin. It was a pretty classic sleet look for this area... I'm not sure why others didn't bite.

Here's the warmest layers from ALY 0Z sounding. The 795mb level wet bulb of .4C must be making our sleet lol. Will be interesting to see if we can get any flakes with the heavier returns moving in from the south....unless they are bright banding.

That's about 23z too so you've had over 90 minutes of WAA since then.

I dunno...I think getting a ton of sleet would be neat to see. Everyone gets snow...yawn...but 2-3"of sleet would be something.

It's cool if you haven't experienced it before. I mean, it looks like snow and has a lot of staying power. I like dragging my feet through it when we get 3-4" of it. It's like sliding through salt or sugar. It's a bit of a b**ch to cleanup though.
