We have had it numerous times since than , biggest was 10 inches a few years ago (I believe 6 years ago)that stayed around past Halloween and canceled Halloween until the following week due to trees down all over the place

I'm really shocked you and Gene didn't start as snow given the SWFE climo.

Sounds similar to here though in elevations.  There's quite a change in the 1200ft range from snow that's actually sticking and down here at home where it's white rain that looks about 100 feet away from being pure rain.  Every once in a while a burst of big flakes comes down but I'm literally at that line where it's half snow half rain.
