DXR has had 5 inches of rain today.

FF watches are up for RI and Se Mass tomorrow. Guess that means this area gets skipped over by storms

Your area has a shot actually for storms.  FROPA timing is pretty meh, at least back this way.  Timing pretty early.

But FF definitely biggest threat tomorrow...probably slow moving training storms

Another congrats Scooter  and Se Ma day for storms . Models really only give far SE sections anything of note. Scattered light showers elsewhere.

I'm barely SE MA. I think action might be more S coast. They've been the congrats most of the season lol.

I knew last night I was screwed..not gonna be much of anything west of ORh other than sprinkles/light showers.. Still not sure why the FFW is up..Even SE Ma doesn't look like anything widespread..Just a couple bigger downpours like DXR had yesterday

Microburst with 80-90 mph winds in Deerfield, MA today

Wow--too bad it could have been  another 10 north.

Yup, that's the warned area that was just SE of Greenfield.  No wind to speak of hear but loudest thunder I've heard this year, heavy rain.  1"+ from 4:30 - 7:30pm.

Congrats on the 1+, only .68" at the Pit.

Yeah it's like they see red and they call it a T storm.

That was  a mulch destroyer for about 3 minutes lol..

I bet that cell goes severe farther SE this afternoon

Looks like they got rain a mile south of here down through East Hampton, and a mile north of here up towards you. We didn't get a drop.

Yeah you could see the split right along the lower elevations there. They seemed to break apart.

On another note big smokey smell to the air now m.ust be as winds veer west they are bringing back the wildfire smoke.

Re Alaskan wild fires and record hot summer ...

Rick Thoman, climate scientist for NWS sites, "This is not chamber of commerce weather."

http://www.cnn.com/2015/07/08/us/alaska-fires-hot-summer/index.html

I wonder who borrowed the phrase from whom...

we reach across the globe
