Height falls are awesome...mid-levels just going to town right now...a few hours of joy before it exits stage right...but you can clear see the deformation area getting organized for a final farewell present

You can see the more convective and blotchy echoes fade into a smoother (but still intense) area to the NW. Definitely a sign of more evenly distributed forcing.

What a special winter! I've lived through the all the great ones in the 2nd half of the 20th century and beyond. This may be the daddy.

Awesome Jerry. And to think that by "special winter", you more specifically mean 4 weeks. Astounding and more to come.

Getting into the 30+ dbz again...

610 AM UPDATE...

LATEST RUNS OF THE HRRR CONTINUE TO HAVE A GOOD HANDLE ON TIMING
AN INTENSE SNOW BAND ACROSS EASTERN MASSACHUSETTS. WILL LEAN
HEAVILY UPON ITS TIMING FOR THIS UPDATE.

REPORTS COMING IN OF THUNDERSNOW...WHICH IS ALSO SHOWING UP ON THE
NATIONAL LIGHTNING DETECTION NETWORK. WE CONTINUE TO RECEIVE
REPORTS OF 2-4 INCH/HOUR SNOWFALL RATES WITH THIS BAND.
FORTUNATELY...THIS BAND IS RATHER PROGRESSIVE...AND IS EXPECTED TO
MOVE PAST CAPE COD AND THE ISLANDS BY MID MORNING. WILL NEED TO
CONTINUE TO MONITOR THE PROGRESS OF THIS BAND. SHOULD IT STALL
OVER SOUTHEAST MA...WHICH IS A POSSIBILITY...THE SNOW COULD PILE
UP FAST.
