Nothing on radar overhead, but some light snow currently with a new dusting on everything. Temp is 17 degrees.

There are some light returns on WGAL doppler, which makes sense given the domes closer proximity to your location than CCX.  Driving into DC for work I saw the fuzz around the landing lights of the planes going into Dulles.

Are all squalls tmrw around lakes or could one sneak east of I99?

Latest CTP discussion mentions squalls making progress well into the Susquehanna Valley.  I think AOO-UNV-IPT should be in a good spot for a coating to 2" depending on the strength of the squalls and if anyone can get in on the Huron-Erie band later this evening.  I'd like to add an inch or so to the snowcover here to cover the grass and see how cold we can get.

Squall line on the way hoping it holds together!!

This sounds like it could be fun... hope there aren't any wrecks on I80 though.

Looks like the squall line is going to do the usual "Tamaqua split". This is a phenomenon that is usually reserved for summer thunderstorms as they approach the area. What basically happens is that a solid line of storms marches across the state until it gets to I-81, then splits apart as it reaches Tamaqua. It then reforms and smokes the Lehigh Valley and points south and east.

It looks like that squall line near I-80 has turned deadly. 3 killed and 30 injured.

When we wish for extreme weather we often forget about the consequences.
