It's probably going to be more widespread then those areas....but you know what I mean. Tuesday could be good for you if we can avoid lots of clouds.

Think the GFS is off base with fast fropa? Seems too fast too me - these cutoffs tend to evolve slower than modeled.

I looked at the euro ensemble and it seemed slower. I mean you have an anomalous trough digging, so unless this somehow ends up further east..I think slower. I suppose a Tuesday fropa would mean the trough axis is probably further east...iow it just digs, but further east compared to what is modeled now.

Not every July you get an ULL this deep digging into the Great Lakes... Seriously, can't remember an anomalous setup like this across the country in the heart of the summer.

Yeah and looking at the wind fields...that's going to nail a lot of people I think. I agree...that is a potent setup.

Thinking this will nail anyone from PA/NJ coastal locations up to you guys in NE. This is a rare setup for this time of year for sure, not sure what the derecho possibility is however

.01 " last night. Without Arthur SE Mass would be in real trouble. Still have had only a couple distant rumbles of thunder the entire summer.

Yeah, your not kidding. Take away Arthur and we are hurting around here.

Woke up to a few drops of water on my car, must have got a sprinkle overnight.

This area has dodged every thunderstorm threat this year without fail

Pretty much same here lol. The best I've seen is a couple flashes and distant thunder. No prolific rains or frequent lightning. Just meh

 we have something in common! That said though this looks like a legit threat for all y'all in NE. Down near NYC maybe just some crapvection i think, although i did say we'd get nailed too not to sure anywhere south of CT
