In terms of svr totally meh in CT... Only about 600 ppl without power. In general, a "good" round of convection and wind will knock out 15k-30k.

I did see a pic of that wall cloud in HVN that so move tweeted out from a tall building window. Was really neat.

Not very often you see sPC issue a D6 risk area here

DAY 6 /TUESDAY/ A MORE SUBSTANTIAL SEVERE THREAT MAY DEVELOP FROM
THE MID-ATLANTIC INTO THE NERN STATES AS A STRONG VORTICITY MAXIMUM
ROTATES THROUGH BASE OF UPPER TROUGH ACCOMPANIED BY STRONG WIND
PROFILES AND INTERACTS WITH THE MOIST BOUNDARY LAYER LIKELY TO BE IN
PLACE.

Early next week looks pretty darn interesting for the northeast.

You can bet your fanny Tuesday will be big.  Typically I work until 4:30 but I'm working until 5:30 b/c I have to come into work late b/c I have to go register for classes.  Hopefully stuff will happen here after 6...but before dark...tired of nighttime stuff...cant see structures

Heard that from forky too, also mikehobbyist in the NYC subforum going all in for something like 98' derecho as usual

Living on LI its not easy to look forward to it happening as it very rarely materializes

This looks more like your eastern NY and NNE special...but Tuesday could be better if the front gets in here at a good time. Anytime you have a sharp trough like that, it naturally favors further west since the mid level flow is more SW.

makes sense...the trend this season has been for NY/PA and then nighttime here.
