Front side of the ul energy coming across the br down precip breaking out in front in the nc/va piedmont. This is RIC's snow being born.

Thanks for the update Bob. We'll see about this one - expectations have certainly changed since yesterday. I was just taking a look at the RAP and it seems to be hinting at the ULL being too far south for us down this way, which would be ironic. Looking likely that DC and Norfolk end up with more than RIC. Weird place I live in.

4.5 to 6 inches of snow has fallen here in New Market, MD since 7:00 am today. Significant blowing and drifting, making measurement difficult. I believe latest RAP model run is a little low on the snow totals for Frederick Co. (MD):

That would be a good result for D.C., imo.
