Damage In Tolland

Recommended Posts

No, trying to be optimistic and make the best out of the bad situation that has been this winter. An inch is a realistic goal for SW CT for these two systems, and, since an inch is all i'm going to get, why not make the most of it instead of complaining because it's not more. And don't tell me an inch is unrealistic for Stamford between these two clippers, all models have me close to .1 QPF, and 10/15-1 ratios are not unrealistic.

Agreed. Maybe I score an inch here, too. But expecting less

Radar looks horiffic for down here at least, an inch at this point would be a miracle. Expecting a coating, anything above that a bonus. Starting to get cautiously optimistic for friday however, even though most likely rain for me, skiing this weekend would be sweet if the EURO verified verbatim.

AREA FORECAST DISCUSSION

NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE TAUNTON MA

444 AM EST TUE FEB 5 2013

...SHORT TERM /6 PM THIS EVENING THROUGH 6 PM WEDNESDAY/...

TONIGHT...ANOTHER CLIPPER TYPE LOW ENTERS THE NORTHEAST. ONCE

AGAIN FORCING FOR ASCENT AND MOISTURE IS LIMITED. SO ONLY

EXPECTING PERIODS OF LIGHT SNOW OR FLURRIES. INITIALLY SNOW WILL

BE FOCUSED ALONG THE SOUTH COAST OF RI AND MA...THEN FADING AND

LIFTING NORTHWARD. AS A RESULT ANY SNOW ACCUMULATIONS SHOULD BE

FOCUSED DURING THE EVENING AND ALONG THE SOUTH COAST. ANOTHER

COATING TO AN INCH POSSIBLE. ELSEWHERE A TRACE TO A DUSTING. NOT

MUCH SNOW BUT GIVEN THE RECENT COLD WEATHER ANY SNOW WILL STICK

QUICKLY TO ROADS...ESPECIALLY SECONDARY ROADS.

WEDNESDAY...

ANY LIGHT SNOW OR FLURRIES SHOULD END DURING THE MORNING HOURS.

TRICKY TEMP FORECAST AS DEEP LAYER MOISTURE AND LIFT MOVES

OFFSHORE DURING THE AFTERNOON WITH LARGE SYNOPTIC SCALE SUBSIDENCE

OVERSPREADING THE AREA. AS CLIPPER LOW MOVES THROUGH THE ST LWRNC

RVR VLY WINDS SHIFT INTO THE WEST DURING THE AFTERNOON. SO THE

COMBINATION OF PARTIAL CLEARING AND DEEPENING BLYR MAY RESULT IN

TEMPS HITTING 40 DURING THE AFTERNOON. HOWEVER IF CLEARING AND

FRONTAL IS LATER COOLER TEMPS WILL BE LIKELY.
