Hoping for some severe tomorrow, big storms today in W TX, some with tennis ball hail. Biggest threat tomorrow here looks like wind, but big hail possible too especially west of Austin. I remember Memorial Day 2015 very well living here, flooding all over the city and it’s when Wimberley SW of here was practically wiped off the map. May 2015 was catastrophic for much of the state.

I'd be fascinated to know why this is, some patterns seem to be very stable, like the cut off low pattern now and the warm/wet cold/dry pattern in the winter. I wonder if the two are somehow related and the stability of both patterns are connected.

Got 0.8" of rain in the last 20 minutes along with a good bit of small hail. Rain rate peaked at 3.35 inches/hour. Localized flooding, of course. -
Hey man, it’s gonna be okay.

As we all know once we get the droopy cut off low pattern to start it's damn near impossible to get rid of.

Power washed the decks, got some furniture out, cleaned the interior of truck, then lunch at marina and put up boat camper cover. Pretty productive day and half decent weatherwise. 58F Sent from my SM-S921U using Tapatalk

New England didn't get a great winter. -
Beautiful evening

beaches here staffed with lifeguard looking at empty beaches and certainly no one in the water. Got to be boring as hell.

Been nothing but overcast since 730am. Kinda sucks :/

9 in a row. You might be onto something.

Weird temp day - long sleeves I got warm, short sleeves a bit cool.

Incredible May this is turning out to be. Neighborhood entrance flooded for first time ever in 19 years last week. Now more heavy flooding rains. I read the AMO was going negative for first time in a long long time. Read also it will change the wx patterns dramatically. Maybe this is the beginning. I don’t remember a May being this wet & cool.

Pleasant, but by my standards too cool and quiescent Memorial Day weekend and most of the remainder of May on tap. If I hadn't gone to get the Arnett last weekend it'd be yet another of those springs where I'd be going stir-crazy.
