I’ve picked up an additional 1.5 of mostly sleet & a little snow with the early afternoon mixing. My Marysville combined total as of 4:30 pm is 9.0” Moderate sleet is still ongoing.

I was just outside cleaning/chiseling off the jeep and put a tarp over the front half. I need to be out early tomorrow morning. I really do hate freezing rain. We will have a glacier that will be around for a month lol.

NE MA is going to jack for sure. That's where the 20"+ totals will be coming. Someone def gets 2' there...probably several reports

I am now. I thought when we flipped back to snow, the coastal was taking over and the upper levels were crashing. Turns out it was only temporary. Question is, do we flip back to snow or are we stuck with sleet until the end?

Didn't see that but saw they recorded .15 and had snow with half a mile visibility for two hours and only record a half inch. Interesting stuff lol.

Measured 7" on average. puking snow out now, my guess is 2" /hr

CTP says once the precip shuts off, it’ll fill back in later with up to 3” snow.

After seeing the damage from the inch in Mississippi I am glad we didn’t end up getting g hit with that. While not “historic” imby it was still a pretty good winter storm and lasted quite a while.

Wait till the wind hits those areas tonight. World of hurt with cold

So at this point I'll concede (mostly happily) that I was wrong. This line is basically through... And as others more experienced in this region have been predicting - these lines do not make storm. Looks like we may not even reach technical ice storm criteria. Unless this storm pulls a proverbial rabbit out of its hat, we dodged a massive bullet. (Now that I've said this, an ice nado will somehow develop over the Upstate).

Just saw this post, but we are running pretty similar in numbers so far....snow has more of a sound to it than before though, visibility is really low, so no sleet at this moment at least

Extremely low vis in this stuff. Snow growth isn’t amazing but it’s decent. It’s just puking though
