  1. Past hour
  2. If we can get a solid EML (elevated mixed layer) to advect in from the Plains/Midwest, things could be really potent. Big hot ridges to our W w/ WNW or NW flow aloft here is about the only way this can be done. One thing w/ EMLs is that overnight tstms are much more common and more intense. Diurnal heating means little w/ you have lots of elevated CAPE. It's why there are so many overnight intense MCSs in the Plains/Midwest, and the LTG displays are incredible. Not necessarily more CC or CG bolts, but the IC flickering is often amazing, esp. in the mid and upper parts of the CBs.
  3. Ah yes. Enough wind to topple trees but not even budge the patio furniture. Dummy.
  4. Thankfully, NFL training camp is just a few weeks away. Yeah baby!!
  5. The 'awesome' core is largely mediocre or gone. This team is awful. Elias has failed. As I have said, fire that fucker and rebuild. The hell with buying at the trade deadline. SELL. That's just Elias trying to save his job. Trade a 'valuable' commodity( to a contending team) like Alonso. Get a few prospects in return. Why the hell would he want to waste the prime years of his career with a loser? He would likely be amicable with a trade to an actual contender.
  6. Yes indeed, too close… Good thing that my family went to the basement for about 20 minutes during the Warning. You just can’t take chances in these situations.
  7. Ended up being a decent event. We won’t touch the CT totals though
  8. It is now at its highest level since June 22 and rapidly climbing
  9. All of you are ridiculous who cancelled the rain yesterday evening out fear of disappointment or whatever. This forum is entertaining though. Widespread 1.5-4” with locally higher over three states.
  10. Yeah I got another tenth with intermittent drizzle and mist. It's soggy.
  11. Anyone watching Cape Fear, the series, on Apple TV? Pretty damn good.
  12. Nasty misty gunk. Was walking outside just before and got soaked.
  13. Not surprised - that wall cloud lowered and spun like a top.
  14. Thanks for mentioning this. This was too close to home for sure… 652NOUS41 KCTP 080011PNSCTPPAZ056-063-080415-Public Information StatementNational Weather Service State College PA811 PM EDT Tue Jul 7 2026...NWS Damage Survey for July 5th 2026 Tornado....Overview...A survey was conducted of storm damage from the evening ofthe 5th of July by the National Weather Service. 15. Go back and take a look at their 2023 roster that won 101 games. Most are gone. If there still here they've been progressively worse the last few years. I think some of those players Elias lucked into as he was not planning on actually contending in 2023. He was thinking they were still a year away. Look at them the last few years when Elias thought this was the time for them to contend lol. Time for Elias to go bye byes.
  16. @Blizzard of 93 Did you see that the NWS confirmed that a Tornado touched down about 4 miles south of you the other evening?
  17. Going back exactly 2 years from today since 7/07/24 they are 151- 174. That's a .464 winning % Time to do something different here. It's not working. This team is not good and hasn't been good with this core in 2 years. Pretty much everyone that is considered there core is either underperforming or not available.
  18. Maybe in your area...very little here
  19. Seeing lots of calls for house fires in north Raleigh tonight. Hope everyone's ok.
  20. Yup going from drought to flash flooding.
  21. Today
  22. It’s fun to watch the storms on radar, hard to predict where they’ll end up flowing too. We got 1.2 imby today. When it does rain, it’s more in line of a tropical downpour than an average rain storm. .
  23. Even that dude who lives under the bridge is getting his share.
