    We are having a phenomenal winter in both of these departments!

    I had 1" before the wind. It snowed steadily from 8pm until around 9am. The town plow actually came by twice, once to slush things up and then a while later to scrape the shit into my driveway at 25mph. Fuggers...

    A cold winter does nothing for me. Snow and snow pack does it. My backyard is a glacier and has been for weeks. I’d rather it be 30 everyday than 10.

    While Skyline Drive unfortunately closed before I could reach it I instead explored the backcountry and foothills on my way to Whiteoak Canyon trailhead. Managed to get some beautiful sun as it set across the country which was an unexpected but welcome surprise.

    If you want to rate a winter - maybe start with the number of days that the temperature stayed 32 degrees or below - and also 20 degrees and below - I would assume Don has those stats available - I guess you can add days that did not reach 40 also...... using NYC records
