  3. No sun here - it’s been raining again for 20-30 mins. But the sky is getting brighter.
  4. I have my eye on the stuff north of State College. If the Lehigh Valley is going to see any severe weather, it’ll be from that. If it can latch onto the warm front it might get pretty gnarly.
  5. Just had a neighborhood strike. Absolutely incredible lighting display around here with these storms. Top 10 for me.
  6. Great write up Newman, was hoping to hear your thoughts I’m really liking my backyard we are in a great spot for instability and shear.

  8. On Keowee called the north Cliffs. Beautiful up here. This summer is the first time I've been to this lake.
  9. Storms along the Frederick/Montgomery County line fading. Looks like an outflow boundary pushing south along I-270.
  10. I mentioned in the severe thread, but the lightning today region wide in these storms will be no joke. A combination of lots of water and lots of lift in the phase transition layer is going to equal a lot of lightning.
  11. Lots of lightning outside of the storms, just had a really close strike by my house and we are a good 20-25 miles from the rain
  12. Meh the girlfriend has a lake house so we are on the beach watching it roll in.
  13. This round has dropped around 0.20” here. Not enough, but slowing down the crew putting a new roof on my house.
  14. Yup and I am hearing some thunder now from the storms to the north.
  15. The boundary which is moving northward into NOVA seems to be popping a bunch of storms off it now. The main cell south of manassas looks rough with 70mph winds in its core. May angle to get me with a direct hit.
  16. what is this wet stuff that appears to be falling from the sky?
  17. Similar here with temp 83 and dp 77. Lightening detector is picking up the stuff north of here.
  18. Yep just got warned - if it holds together could affect DC given its NE motion...
  19. Overall Stein here round one with just a shower . Round two looks like another congrats NYC . Unreal
  20. Clobbering Frederick now, looks like its headed down I70 towards Ellicott City later. Maryland's 2 flood magnets of course.
  21. I got caught a little off guard on my 10 mile hike this morning. That sun came out and the heat index went nuts. It kicked my butt a little bit. Prime environment for big rainers for some.
  22. The lightning today is no joke with all the water and MLCAPE in the phase transition layer.
  23. New all-time highest MSLP record set for Australia.
  24. 1.77” and constant thunder for 3 hours. 6.22” in July
