I had a feeling this would be an overperformer given the arctic air and trajectory of the clipper and it didn’t disappoint. We’re leaving at 5a tomorrow to get back home and in the office - will be hard to leave. Back for the week on 12/26 through New Years and hopefully more snow then!

Out taking a walk. Probably the coldest it felt so far this season. 20F/Windy/Snow blowing into face. Christmas lights enhanced 100 percent with the snow addition... -
Any shot at all for any accumulation tomorrow?

Right on. Even though it’s good to see the models trend a bit colder (relatively speaking) in the 7-14 day range, we really need to get out of this obnoxious chinook pattern. Besides the fact that the warm air is always lurking to the west, it’s an incredibly dry pattern/flow since it blocks any formation of low pressure systems and moisture return. I can’t count how many times on the operational runs, day after day, where it shows nearly zero precipitation over a 2-week period in the mountain west and plains. While it has generally maintained cold overall temperatures in these parts (at least so far), it’s a very dry and boring pattern. If I lived in Denver or SD, I would be tearing my hair out since it has felt like extended Fall forever. Hopefully something will shake up the pattern soon. We need a -AO. -

1983-84 was below average Snowfall here and at KTRI. Had one bonafide Snowstorm in January. 6 inches. Another more scattered banded one where just east of Pennington gap got 5 inches while Pennington only an inch.. Other than that mainly a couple dustings to an inch. February had some very warm days in the 70's . March had one Storm with thunder snow but was rain snow mixed below 2000 feet. -
Brief mild weather and back to cold

wtf are you talking about? So many got great snow all around - Linglestown had a couple of inches. I’m happy for everyone and never expected this to be a city story due to temps but it’s cool nearly everyone cashed in. -

Good winter but that storm sucked here. 4-5 inches of snow then changed to rain in a heartbeat. A mini version of March 93. Amped storms that hug the coast/track just inland, esp with no blocking, never work out over here.

Winter is ovah.

Dude's whole deal last night was to antagonize discredit and ruin other people's fun and I don't think it could have been any more obvious.. -
13-14 was the only year in my 25 rockville tracking years where i was honestly seriously tired of it by the end. Last couple march events felt like a chore. And here we are... where I'd trade a kid to experience it again hahahah

shovel off the rink before the cutter folks... great now and might still be good after. Anything unshoveled will likely be skunked.
