My dad always said everything is driven by the price of oil. He was an HVAC tech for 30+ years (it was called oil burner service man when he started) and his observation was that every time the coat of oil went up, so did the price of wood. Unless you can cut your own, the price of a cord will increase too.

Scattered convection (moving ESE just like 3 days ago) has been occurring throughout the area since ~7:45PM. I’m away from home and so have no idea how much I got there. The cooldown from today’s 99-101 in the area has been dramatic!

Folks it is business 101...see Lehman Brothers and Toys R US as prime examples...never under estimate what debt can do to a business...learned that early on in one of my first business law courses.. taught by an actual practicing attorney rather than a prof who hadn't seen the inside of a courtroom in decades...

August temps not looking bad, however, I doubt August delivers the rain here that July has done so far. Soon soil temps will peak and start to fall later in August.

So what is this talk of potential significant rains beginning Sunday time frame??

I did get an extended power outage out of it though!
