Saturday is going to trend to a rainstorm for the coast

This. I scraped with the metal shovel while my wife and son came behind with the snow shovels. Brutal work for only about a half inch of caked sleet

Look at the temps while its snowing. Temps in the 10s and pouring Snow.

Icon was only off by an hour @ 120 meaning trough was pointing at 1pm while 12pm (neutral) would have done the job west of 95.

Recent storm, we were in the bulls eye or just north of it before the D4 "model reshuffle" (yes I'm coining that phrase). This time let's reshuffle this into us being the bulls eye!

Its trending in the right direction 5 days out..

Any thoughts on snowgrowth issues yesterday (and maybe relatedly SLRs)? Looks like generally 1-1.5”/hr so decent rates anyway, but the flakes were small for almost entire event. Was the DGZ not optimally saturated? Best omega above/below DGZ? CoCoRaHS seem generally 1.4-1.7 qpf so estimating maybe 10-12:1?

Front came through and NW wind got gusty. DP dropped from 32.7 to 28.1. Temp sitting at 33.1 wonder if it falls back below freezing for a bit

It was a fun storm to experience for sure. Time for me to head back to Raleigh. Hopefully we get one solid snow there before the season ends so I don't have to go anywhere lol.
