As far as overall synoptic pattern recognition, machines are taking over. They just don’t have the skill to resolve hi res or mesoscale features.

The lower bound of my forecast was .50” and even that seems generous now. Only .11” here on the day.

I had people asking me about the weather for games today and I leaned stein but not nearly enough. It’s quite remarkable.

Yeah definite model bust today . Hopefully the storm hits next  Sunday .The eye moves directly across CT east to west on Euro Aifs

There are some nasty members on the AI guidance, including GDM, which despite some challenges in the Atlantic this season has still performed better than any model. We'd take.

Hope everyone is good.  I have not been too active on the forums..

We are finally getting some beneficial rain up here.  3.25" so far this month.  About .30"ish today.  This makes me a happy camper for sure!

Also of note I was just looking at the astronomical tides for the 25-27th.  They are quite high.  With the warm gulf stream I wonder if any nor'easter getting captured could become hybrid or tropical?  It will be interesting to see what unfolds.

Yeah, tides getting a little higher by Saturday and especially Sunday and Monday.
