Same. I'm still waiting to mow my lawn for the first time this year. Just random patches of green weed in a sea of brown.

It always worries me when I get a pop up storm right over me this early in the day. It makes me feel like I’ll miss out on all the good stuff later.

If you get enough sun in between, I've experience double the fun before. What I miss are those nights where you get storm after storm. It seems like it thunders all night long. Best sleep ever.

Without question storms are certainly firing up. When looking at the hi res radar you can see it perfectly.  Pretty cool !

I'm sure they will miss my yard lol. 7.3" here for A-M-J and so far in July. Thus the extreme drought.

I hope you get nailed pretty good later. Would be great if the energy /storms near Lancaster, PA settled over you area later this evening.

Yeah most of the activity firing behind this boundary is staying east in DE.

True, that is why I mentioned the area further upstream in PA. Yeah, its a considerable distance from you, but moving on a trajectory to head South and be on the Eastern Shore. Currently that area is warned with a STW and a FFW. ( More than likely that area may dissipate looking at the lastest trends.  )  Storms that were headed towards me went poof.

Up in Harford county at a baseball game and getting stormed. Not too munch thunder or wind. That outflow produced more wind

Good boundary is moving south. Seems there might be an old remnant (from yesterday I guess) one north to south across western ffx county as well. Maybe that with the Reston UHI/city convergence can get something going.

Tonight’s a really pleasant night (here/Columbia) just sitting on a dry deck with a gentle breeze and 78° — who can ask for more?

After lucking out with 3-1/4 inches of rain between July 4-9, the last two days have been frustrating watching radar; a trace at best for the last two days as of now. Also while sitting outside I just noticed a lower-level group of broken clouds moving east to west. Easterly breeze has picked up too.

Got a flush hit with the ffx cell. Ominous vibes as the first half of the storm had ever increasing rainfall rates that climbed past 1, then 2, then 3 inch/hour as gusts of wind came through. Hit the peak of 3.4 inch/hour as the wind died out, some of the heaviest rates I’ve ever seen. Made even my family come out to look. Still pouring but estimating I’ll finish around a bit above an inch (maybe more if the secondary cell over Dulles hits too). If you look at a longer radar loop (codnexrad is my favorite site for that) you can see how the outflow boundary from MD interacted with the leftover boundary in western fairfax to pop the storms right along it. Neat stuff.

Came home today after spending 2.5 weeks in Vegas and that humidity slapped. Reminded me of when I was traveling to/from Denver for work years ago.

Thought I might see my first storm in over 2 weeks, but it missed mby. Might have to wait a bit, based on the forecast.

Just had a Thunderstorm develop almost right over my house in Stafford. Picked up 1.31” of rain in about 30 minutes.
