sbnwx85 Posted yesterday at 03:38 AM Author Share Posted yesterday at 03:38 AM HRRR and NAM bring 1-2” of rain to my backyard Sunday morning. Would be much appreciated if it happens.
Spartman Posted yesterday at 04:30 AM Share Posted yesterday at 04:30 AM Got 2.65" of rain this morning. Now at 8.63" for the month, currently the 3rd wettest May on record. The record is 9.05" in May 1995. With some more rain on the way through the upcoming week, might as well just go for broke. Top 5 Wettest Mays (DAY): 1. 9.05" - 1995 2. 9.01" - 1938 3. 8.63" - 2026 (as of 5/23) 4. 8.55" - 1989 5. 8.40" - 1990

OrdIowPitMsp Posted yesterday at 02:49 PM Share Posted yesterday at 02:49 PM Heat cranks up today. Probably will run my A/C for the first time this year in the next week or so. Hoping to score a thundershower for some of that precipitation stuff we always seem in need of.
cyclone77 Posted yesterday at 03:03 PM Share Posted yesterday at 03:03 PM Got grazed here on the extreme west side of the overnight event, and picked up a much appreciated 0.69". None of the models showed it this far west so a very nice surprise indeed.

A few severe storms are out west of Minneapolis, where the dew points are only 50 degrees.

I wouldn't say Summer cancel just yet, but if you're hoping for a pattern more accommodating to severe weather and persistent 80s/90s, it might be rough... Brian D
Cool Lake breeze kicking in keeping temps subdued along the shore. Typical shore wx when temps are rising inland.
weatherbo
First 80 of the season, and about as warm as I like it. When it comes to heat I’m a puss.
Jackstraw
I will take this Omega block for as long as it, well, can block lol. I'm not going to complain about roughly 75/55 days ever. Absolutely perfect weather. Maybe snoozefest but man will this be a nice 10 day stretch if it holds. One of the best Spring stretches in many years.
cyclone77
86 here today, but with a nice breeze and upper 40s dews it was pretty nice. Won't be long and we'll be battling the 80+ degree dews. The corn is a growin'...
